Create a Performance Review Period

If you’ll be creating multiple Performance Reviews for distinct user groups, Performance Review Periods will make sure users aren’t getting assigned multiple Performance Reviews at once! Performance Review Periods allow you to group multiple Performance Reviews running at the same time together, to ensure users are only placed into one Performance Review per Review Period. This way users can’t mistakenly get placed into multiple Performance Reviews at the same time.

To start, you’ll create the Performance Review Period. Once that’s done, you can begin assigning the Performance Review Period to any new Performance Reviews you create.

Creating a Performance Review Period

  1. Underneath the HR menu, click Performance Reviews.

  2. Click More Options, then click Performance Review Periods.

3. From the Performance Review Periods page, click Add New.

 

4. Now give your Performance Review Period a distinct Code and Name, and click Add Performance Review Period to make it active. Your Performance Review Period is now ready to assign!

 


Adding a Performance Review Period to a Performance Review

When you’re creating a new Performance Review, you can select a Performance Review Period from the Period drop-down menu. This will assign the Performance Review Period to that specific Performance Review.

When a Performance Review Period is assigned it will display in the Performance Review’s Information tab:

You can also add the Performance Review Period to a Performance Review at a later time, just navigate to the Performance Review's Information tab and add it from there.

Note: You must designate a Performance Review Period BEFORE launching the Performance Review(s) to users. This will ensure that users cannot be erroneously placed into multiple Performance reviews upon launch.

 


Editing/Viewing a Performance Review Period

If you ever need to change the Code or Name of a Performance Review Period, or if you want to view the Performance Reviews a specific Performance Review Period has been assigned to, follow these steps:

1. Underneath the HR menu, click Performance Reviews.

2. Click More Options then Performance Review Periods.

3. From the Performance Review Periods landing page, click Edit on the Performance Review Period you want to edit/view.

Now you can edit the Performance Review Period and view the Performance Reviews it has been assigned to.
