Leaderboards Scoring

Campaign Completion (Percent Complete)

This is the percentage of campaign assignments that are completed. This is calculated as a numerator divided by a denominator as follows:

Numerator:

Number of completions for the location/region

Denominator:

Number of completions for the location/region

+

Number of open assignments for the location/region

Note: It's possible for this percentage to decrease if a user is hired during the campaign.

Average Points

This is the average points earned per assignment for the location/region. This is calculated as a numerator divided by a denominator as follows:

Numerator:

The sum of all of the points earned

Denominator:

The total number of completions

Leaderboard Completions

This is used to calculate "Average Points" and "Campaign Completion" numbers. To receive a score toward a Leaderboard, the assignment:

  • Must have a completion date within the campaign date range

  • Must be completed in the one of the following ways:

    • Normal/natural completion

    • Manual completion

      • (Exemptions, Alternative Completions, and Incompletes do not count)

  • Must be for a user who is not report excluded (The completion will still be recorded, but will not be counted in the Leaderboard until the user comes off report exclusion.)

Other notes:

The assignment date does not have to be within the campaign date range. This means an assignment might not be counted in the numbers until it is completed. This is because it would be unfair if a user were hired later in the campaign and had assignments due after the campaign end. Those assignments should not count against that location.

The due date does not have to be within the campaign date range. This means an assignment might not be counted in the numbers until it is completed.

Completions are still counted even if the user has since gone inactive.

Open Leaderboard Assignments

This is used to calculate "Campaign Completion" percentages. To count as an Open Leaderboard Assignment, the assignment:

  • Must have a due date within the campaign date range

  • Must be for an active user

  • Must be for a user who is not report excluded

Other notes:

When you set up new Curriculum Assignments, the data may need to process overnight before showing on a Leaderboard.

The assignment date does not have to be within the campaign date range.

It's possible for this number to increase if a user is hired during the campaign.

Scoring a single assignment completion

Total Points Possible = Completion Points + (Test Score Multiplier * Test Score) + Passed on First Try Bonus + 100% on First Try Bonus

For modules without a test:

  • If the user completes the assignment on time, they get the maximum points possible (as if they got 100% on the first try of the test).

  • If the user completes the assignment past due, they only get the completion past due points (as if they got a 0% on the test).

These rules are to ensure that each assignment has the same number of possible points, so that averaging the points makes sense.
