Progressive Development and Performance Review Report Templates
Report Templates are required to run the Progressive Development Status Report and Performance Review Status Report. The fields that are available in these reports are different, but the process for creating templates is the same.
Creating a Report Template
To create a report template, first click on Report Templates under the Reports menu.
On this page you can search for and edit previously created templates. Click the Add New button at the top right to create a new template.
On this page, set the name and other properties for your template. You will also need to upload an Excel file with the headers you want to use. Be sure to select Performance Review Report or Progressive Development Status Report from the Report dropdown.
Creating and Mapping Your Excel Template
If you click Download Example you can download an example Excel file/template. The example file will contain every single possible field your report could contain. Unlike ALMS Report Templates, columns in Progressive Development and Performance Review Report Templates are not mapped with a series of dropdowns. Instead, columns are mapped before uploading your Excel. Columns are mapped simply by including a token (e.g. $UserLoginID$) in the first non-header row. In the example file, all columns are already mapped. To finish your template, you simple delete any columns you don’t need from the example file. If you need to add other sheets, calculations, pivot tables, or other features add them to your file at this step. Save and upload your Excel file. Be sure to set the Last Header Row dropdown correctly and click Add Report Template.
Enabling Templates for Different Roles
Then click the Roles tab to set which roles can use your new template. Until you modify the settings on this tab, no users will be able to use the template. For this example, we are allowing all roles except Safety Manager to use the template. Selecting All Roles will ensure that any new Roles you create later will automatically have access to this template. If this is not desirable, then you can also choose Select Specific Roles and check every current Role. Once you have selected which roles should be able to use the template, click Update. Your template is now ready to use.
NOTE: If you do not set a template to be available to a role, users in that role will be unable to generate Performance Reports from Supervisor or HR Grids.
