General Smart Groups
General Smart Groups can be used for a variety of automations in the system, including automatically assigning Learning Modules to a specific group of users using Curriculums.
Curriculums can be added to the Position Smart Group in the Curriculums tab. The associated Learning Modules from the Curriculums added will be displayed in the Learning Modules tab.

Administrative Positions Smart Groups are used to assign specific Roles (Instructor, Administrator, etc.) to a group of users based on various filters.
When configuring an Administrative PositionSmart Group, a Role must be selected to give to to all users in the PositionSmart Group.

Let’s say you need to give the Instructor role to users with a certain Job Code. When creating the PositionSmart Group, choose the Administrative Type and the Instructor Role. When configuring the Position Smart Group filters, add a Job Code filter, then filter on the Job Code you wish to receive the role.
When a new user is added to the system with the specified Job Code, they will enter this position Smart Group and automatically be given the Instructor role.
