In Cognition, Smart Groups use filters on various user properties, such as location, job code, etc., to create groups of users. These groups of users are automatically maintained over time as users are added to the system and updated. Smart Groups can be used to make training assignments to a targeted audience, but are also used throughout the site whenever administering a specific user group.
