The short answer…

New Curriculum assignments will not show on reports until the next day, because an overnight process needs to run to process all of the assignment data.

The long answer…

The progress data for the reports is real time. The Curriculum assignment data is updated once a day after the user data import. Here is how to differentiate between those two statements:

Progress data - As a user completes progress during the day, that data is updated in real time. So when you are looking at reports you can count on the progress status (“Not Started”, “In Progress”, etc.) being accurate at the time of the report.

Assignment data - If a user gets a new Curriculum assignment during the day, that assignment will not show on reports until the next day. The only exception to this is if they complete the assignment that same day. Completed assignments show on reports no matter what (as long as there is not a retake assigned).

Determining assignment is very computer intensive. That's why we run that process once a day after your user import. For the most part, Positions and Curriculums in the LMS are not changing throughout the day, so the issue of assignment data being accurate once a day is barely noticeable.
