Smart Group Filter Report
Over time, as new Smart Groups (formerly Positions) are created and old ones evolve, it can be difficult to see the bigger picture. The Smart Group Filter Report simplifies this by providing a consolidated view of the specific filter criteria defining each group. It is the ideal tool for auditing, ensuring consistency and identifying redundant configurations.
How to Generate the Report
Navigate to the Reports menu
Locate the Smart Group Filter Report
Select the specific Smart Group(s) you wish to audit
Generate the report
Understanding the Output
The report downloads as an Excel file (.xlsx) containing 2 tabs:
Summary View
Displays a high-level count of the filter types used in each selected Smart Group (e.g., how many groups filter by "Job Code" vs. "Location").Detailed View
Lists every specific filter condition for each selected Smart Group. This view is ideal for deep-dive reviews and troubleshooting potential configuration errors.
Note: This report displays the filters that define the Smart Groups. It does not list the individual users populated within those groups.
