Cognition Knowledge Base

Tags

Tags let you display recommended content to users.  Tags are associated with one or more positions and one or more learning modules.  If a user is in a position associated with a tag, when they perform a catalog search, any modules associated with that tag will appear at the top of the results under the 'Recommended Content' heading.  All other results will appear under 'Other Content'.  Users can also filter by tag directly as an advanced search option.

To add a new tag, click on the 'Tags' link under the 'Base Data' heading in the 'Administration' menu.  To add a new Tag, click the green '+' button at the top right.

Tags are created with only a 'Type', 'Name', and 'Description'.  Set these and click 'Add this Tag'.

Once your tag is created, click on the 'Learning Modules' and 'Positions' tabs and use the drop down boxes to add associations.

You can also associate Positions and modules with tags from their pages.  Just navigate to the 'Tags' tab and click 'Add Tag(s)'.  For modules, 'Tags' is found under the 'More' drop down menu.
