To edit an Announcement Channel, navigate to the Administration menu and select Announcement Channels. Then Edit the channel you want to make changes to.

Information Tab

Here you can edit the Name and Administrator Notes. As well as change the images for the Icon and Placeholder.

Instructions in how to edit the Icon and Placeholder can be found within Adding a New Announcement Channel, as the process is the same.

Allow Comments: Lets user's comment on Announcements in this channel.

Is Active: Uncheck this if the channel is no longer in use.

To commit any changes, make sure to click Update at the bottom of the page.

If your organization has alternate languages license, then this is where you may edit the Announcement Channel to display differently when the user has an alternate language enabled.

Moderators and Curators

Here you may add users to these specialized roles. Within the textbox at the left, type the name of the user you wish to add. Select them and press the green plus button to assign them that role.

Moderators are users that have the ability to delete comments within this Announcement channel, in case any comments are inappropriate or off topic.

Curators are users that can publish Announcements to this Announcement Channel.

• Curators need to have a non-student role so they can access announcements from their dashboard.

• After being added to a channel, Curators also need to be added to Audiences to allow them to publish announcements for other users.

Announcements Tab

This is where you can select Announcements to display in your channel.

To add an Announcement, click the dropdown box with the text – Select an Announcement --. Then start typing in the Announcement’s title that you are looking for. Once you have found the Announcement you are looking for. Select it and then click the green plus button to add it in.
