We’ve added greater flexibility in Cognition version 9.4.3 , allowing associates introduced greater flexibility by allowing users to request a chosen first name to be displayed across the system - such as - like a nickname or a preferred name - while maintaining to be displayed across the system. Meanwhile, their HR system name is maintained for administrative purposes, like such as digital acknowledgments. Name Fields
Users can now have 2 separate First Names two distinct First Name fields in the system. This provides flexibility for users who may wish to have a different name displayed in different contexts, ensuring their experience aligns with their preferences.

HR First Name
This is automatically set by system processes, like User Import feeds and Mass User Uploads. It’s the name that shows up on digital acknowledgments unless set differently This name is typically used on HR sign-offs (such as digital acknowledgments in Compliance modules) unless overridden for a specific user.
Display First Name
This starts out matching the HR First Name
but can be personalized customized within the LMS. It’s the name you’ll see that appears throughout the system and you can also set it to show on digital acknowledgments instead of be configured to replace the HR First Name
on HR sign-offs on a user-by-user basis.
