The goals workflow is an optional workflow that can be used during Goal Setting to help guide associates through the processDuring the Goal Setting phase of a Performance Review, you can enable an optional workflow for supervisors to review and approve the goals of their associates. When the goals workflow is used, you can:  

  • Set a suggested minimum and maximum number of goals for a goal type to guide associates on how many goals they should have. 

  • AND/OR Require goals to be individually  weighted by the associate. A goal’s weight will impact how much its evaluation factors into the associate’s overall score. 

  • AND/OR Require goals and any goal weights to be approved by a supervisor. 

Using the Goals Timeline will give associates and supervisors a checklist that will walk them through the process along with a Submission Checklist.

Enabling the Goals Workflow

To enable the Goals Workflow, go to the Workflow tab of your Performance Review. Once enabled, you can configure the labels and tooltips that show to associates and managers on the Goals Timeline to provide specific instructions and context around each status.

Associate Tooltips will show to associates when they look at the timeline while Management Tooltips will show to supervisors, HR Managers, and administrators when they look at the tooltip.
