Roles assign permissions and give access to certain features for your users. All registered users have the default Student role, but if a specific user requires more permissions and/or features on Cognition then giving them additional roles may be preferred. Examples of this is if you have an instructor that needs access to lead Instructor Led Training sessions. They would most likely benefit from the Instructor Role. If you have a HR manager that needs to have access to user information. They would most likely benefit from the HR Administrator Role. Additionally if you find that none of the preset roles fit a certain user, you may create your own custom Role.
